This Flat Rail Clamp is the Guts that holds your Vintage Saddle / Seat with 7/8" Flat Rails to a 7/8" top seatpost. The Flat Rail type is common to a Cruiser / Comfort / up right seats & saddles. The Clamp is a replacements for Vintage Schwinn Seats and Saddles Like: Mesinger, Troxel, Person etc, they also can be used on some newer Cruiser Bike Seats.  The Clamp attaches to Flat Seat Rails that are around 7/8" wide and attaches to a 7/8" top seatpost. The Flat Rails will have a hole for the bolt to go through. Note: There is some high end Persons saddles that have 1' rails and this clamp will not work without modification. Plus late model Vintage Saddles used small bolts that may not have a hole big enough for the replacement bolt included with the clamp. The Round Single Rail Clamp is the Guts that holds your Saddles / Seats with 2 Single Round Rails to a 7/8" top seatpost. Single Round Rail Clamps are common  Vintage and New Road Bike Seats, Some Antique Leather Saddles, and Some Newer Cruiser Bike Seats. The Clamp has a Nice Look and Construction, has an important safety notch, it attaches to seat rails that around 7mm or 1/4" in Diameter, and tightens 14mm Drive nuts. We also have a 5/16" Replacemet Bolt. ( Note: Allot of Vintage Schwinn Seat posts have a 5/8" top, that is no longer supported nor do they make clamps for them, we strongly suggest moving to a Vintage Schwinn Size Seatpost with a 7/8" top).
